Genting Highlands
went to Genting on Monday and just got back last night. remember the last time i went genting is last year. the weather then is cooling, but this time, i do feel it's cold especially on Wednesday. maybe because it's raining and clouds are everywhere.
there are some changes in genting. the first changes i notice is the road at Chin Swee Caves Temple has been changed from 2-way to a 1-way road. you'll drive down from another newly open road.
secondly, there is a new building next to First World. it's First World Tower 2. but too bad, i wasn't given the chance to stay in the new building :(. i reserved 1 night in standard room and 1 night in deluxe room as standard room for Monday is fully reserved. so we went up to our deluxe room on the 23rd floor. the light at the door, next to the toilet is blinking and so i called the operator and was told someone will be send over to change the bulb. they did come to change it, but they came the next morning. really feel like asking them why not come after 12pm.
since we will not be able to use the RM1 coins soon, we will need to buy a EziCash Card to play the videogames there. it cost RM23 to purchase the card where you get RM20 credits and RM3 is the deposit. even the casinos' slot machines no longer accept coins, only notes. and should you win, you'll be paid by the attendant/cashier manually. cannot hear the sound of coins dropping out already :(.
did not do anything much at genting as i go there just to relax and never plan to play anything. so all we do is walk around, wondering around the casino, went to watch X-treme (a great stunt and thrill showcase performance) and to the Ripley's Believe It Or Not. the rest of the day is in the room. sound boring hor? but i feel relax wor :p.
oh, we went to Thean Hou Temple before going to Genting. don't know since when, but there's something new behind the temple. Herbs Garden and Tortoise Pond. should go and have a look when you are at the temple. there really are many tortoise around. wanted to take a photo of those tortoises, but too bad, with my phone's camera, you can hardly see what is it. maybe i should get myself a digital camera one day.
